What is the Combo Gas Heat Pump?

The Combo series includes a Vicot Gas Absorption Heat Pump (GAHP) with a condensing boiler in one box. In the context of residential applications, the V35 Combo model is equipped with a 20 kW GAHP and a 15 kW condensing boiler. The V140 Combo model features a more robust configuration with an 85 kW GAHP and a 55 kW condensing boiler for commercial applications.

The backup boiler meets the building pick load when the outdoor temperature drops to maintain resiliency by boosting the hot water temperature.

V140 GAHP

Heating Capacity 140kW [477 MBH]

V140 GAHP produces hot water up to 140 F for space heating and domestic supply. It reduces energy consumption by up to 40% compared with common boilers and furnaces.

Application: Multi-residential , Commercial Buildings

GAHP ADVANTAGES

  • The efficiency of GAHP can reach up to 140% because it extracts thermal energy from the surrounding air (a free source of energy);
  • Consumes less energy compared with common boilers and furnaces;
  • GAHPs are equipped with step-less burners to overcome the heating load instability;
  • The refrigerant inside the GAHP cycle is Ammonia with zero ODP & zero GWP;
  • GAHP electricity consumption is small relative to the primary fuel, which is natural gas;
  • GAHPs can operate with renewable natural gas (RNG);
  • GAHPs are Cold Climate Equipment which maintains desired capacity and efficiency at very low ambient temperatures (-30 °C).
